Around noon, the boat landed at a small harbor, and they were all led to a train station, Mika carrying the baby next to her weak mother.  She was a short, quiet woman with short black hair and a pale, petite body, and was very weak form no food or water in the jail cell.  She leaned on Kane as he walked next to Mika.  On the train, the cars were fairly packed, open cars made of fined tan earth and were very compact and square.  Mika sat on the bench that lined the walls under the large, clear window, cradling the baby tenderly.  The mother took her right, by the baby’s head, and Kane on her left, cradling her shoulders.  Mika hummed as the rest of the boat loaded on the train, Mika’s heart throbbed painfully.  Most of the passengers were young couples, or teenagers about Naomi’s age.  They were all different shapes, sizes, and ages; but they all had one major feature in common.  They all had the same, desolate, pained and defeated look plaguing their faces.
Suddenly, there was a loud crunching sound, and scrapping sensation as the train started grinding on the tracks before taking off.  The baby stirred, then, while being shook, started to scream.  It tightened its little fists and filled its tiny lungs and wailed with a much louder sound then should be natural.  The entire car, and some from the other cars covered their ears and moaned in their dismay.
“Shhhhh, Shh!” Mika cooed, rocking the child, but it was all in vain.
“Sing to him again,” Kane whispered to Mika’s ear.
“It‘s a girl,” Mika hissed through her teeth, and Ronin laughed lightly.
With a nod, trying not a smile at Kane’s goofy face, she hummed her voice a little to warm up.  Then, rocking the baby, she started to sing.  The baby continued to wail, so Mika had to fill her lungs and grew louder till the baby finally heard it.  It slowly stopped crying, and relaxed, then started cooing gently as it started to fall asleep.  Everyone on the train slowly uncovered their ears and turned to look at Mika curiously; muttering amongst themselves.
When she finished, with the baby sleeping, the train burst out in applause.  And, once again, the baby started to cry again.  Ronin laughed as everyone fell silent as Mika started singing again, trying not to laugh as Kane chuckled with her at his side.
When the baby fell asleep for the second time, the mother took her back and felt the car, bowing and thank Mika over and over on her way out.
Mika smiled, and slide down to his side again.  She sighed, and leaned her head on his shoulder.  She watched the endless plains of slightly sloping hills with an ocean of breezed green wild flowers and grass and sighed.
I forgot how tiring this all is compared to just being pampered in the frozen hell… she thought to herself, and almost closed her eyes to try and get some sleep until a rush of dark brown engulfed the light.  She shot up, and stared out the window over Naomi’s head with her mouth ajar.
When she was a child, she was told by her friends and her crazy babysitter of the magnificence and down right volume of the impenetrable city.  But, there is a difference between being told about something and seeing it for yourself.
It was a huge city, surrounded by a great wall that was at least a 100 feet high, but she could barely see the far wall from the great distance as the train glided in overtop the nonchalant citizens and society underneath.  Everything was a brown and green, like the earth itself, and her smile started to fade. There were walls: hundreds of walls, miles of walls, long, tall, short, wide: walls were everywhere.
“The city of walls,” smirked Kane, and shifting his weight as Mika was on the edge of her seat; quite literally holding herself down.
“No kidding,” she muttered.  “So the enforced caste system is true…”
Before Mika could get her fill of the city, however, the train started a gradual stop and, with a thud, it stopped completely.  Ronin and Kane stood, reaching overhead to grab their possessions.  Mika, however, sat on the chair still and said,
“What if her get a crappy apartment?” Mika asked.
Kane shrugged.
“Let‘s just hope not then,” he murmured to her, but paid more attention to getting their luggage.  Mika leaped on the seat, tip-toed to grab her rather large bag, then pounced down and skipped to the door.
“Hey, Mika! Wait up,” Kane called, yanking his out rather abruptly, but Mika froze the moment she got out of the train.
Sorry I am late. I almost didn't expect myself to actually bring them to Be-Sing-Sa!!!! But, i guess i am as shocked as our little firebender. I will try to start typing more, including FLM, Forbidden, along with Mika!!(the story that started it all, lol)
